Supermarket supports local suppliers with celebration of home-grown Irish food
Customers enjoyed a free taste of the best food their area has to offer at the EUROSPAR Bunclody Food Fair.
The supermarket invited shoppers to sample delicious home grown treats at a special Food Fair, held in-store on May 15th.
Everything on offer was produced by local farmers and suppliers, and retailer Ciaran Price said it was all part of EUROSPAR Bunclody’s commitment to supporting the local community.
He said, “The Food Fair was a great success, I’m really pleased so many of our customers took the time to come along and try what we had on offer. Hopefully it will help even more people to realise the fantastic produce we have right on our doorsteps.
“When you shop local you’re supporting the local farmers and suppliers at the heart of our community, and that’s what EUROSPAR Bunclody is all about.”
Suppliers on the day included Bill Cummins Meats, Drover Foods, Tony Butler Meats, Buggy Foods, Doyle Meats, Moss Foods, Staffords Bakery and Doran Potatoes.
EUROSPAR Bunclody first opened in 2001.
The supermarket provides employment for 42 full and part time staff locally and is open from 7amto 11pm , Monday to Saturday and 8am to 8pm on Sunday.
