Ireland’s Fittest Family returns sponsored by Londis

Over €20,000 in prizes to be awarded to Londis customers in store to celebrate the new season launch of the show

Ireland’s Fittest Family returned to RTÉ One on Saturday, 4th January, proudly sponsored by leading community retailer and longtime supporter of the show, Londis. Season 12 was today previewed by veteran coach and co-creator of the show, Davy Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald will be joined by 2024 coaching champion Donncha O’Callaghan, World Champion and Olympic silver medalist Sonia O’Sullivan with camogie legend Anna Geary returning to the show following a season off. RTÉ 2FM presenter, Laura Fox, will once again host the show.

Now in its 6th year sponsoring the show, Londis is bringing the excitement of Ireland’s Fittest Family direct to their customers by giving away over €20,000 worth of prizes in store across the country. The in-store competition will give five schools the chance to win €2,000 worth of equipment. In addition, every store will give away a €100 O’Neill’s voucher to one lucky shopper.

The competition will run from 6th January until 1st March 2025. All winners including the five schools, will be announced by 31st March 2025. To enter, shoppers can scan the QR code in Londis stores nationwide and enter their details for a chance to win.

Veteran coach, Davy Fitzgerald, spoke at a Londis event to mark the start of the competition, “It’s great to have Ireland’s Fittest Family back for another year with our longstanding partner Londis on board for a 6th year. I’m looking forward to some great competition from the families competing and all the excitement this season has in store. As a Clare man, I’m also looking forward to renewing rivalries with Anna, Donncha and Sonia and hope we can get another victory over Cork this year!”

Conor Hayes, Londis Sales Director, said “We’re excited to be back for our sixth year partnering with Ireland’s Fittest Family. As a family of retailers at Londis, we strongly regard the family values that sit at the heart of every community. For that reason, the show is the perfect fit for us and a way for us to give back through supplying sports equipment to schools and clubs across the country.

On behalf of everyone at Londis, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Flaherty family. We keep Cillian in our thoughts, having tragically passed away after the show was filmed.
