Siobhán McAleese from Trim, Co. Meath, has been crowned the winner of the SPAR Christmas FM Song Contest 2024 – the winner was announced by SPAR Sales Director Colin Donnelly on a live outside broadcast on Monday morning, December 9 at SPAR, Dame Street, Dublin 2.
The winning ‘Merry Jolly Christmas’ song, which was inspired by Siobhán’s children, Maisie and Dylan, will now be added to the Christmas FM playlist. Siobhán was also presented with a €500 SPAR gift voucher. SPAR’s Colin Donnelly joined host Garvan Rigby on air to reveal the winner as SPAR Dame Street helped customers, commuters and members of the general public get in the Christmas mood by handing out delicious mince pies during the live Outside Broadcast of the Christmas FM Breakfast Show.

As well as sponsoring the Christmas FM Song Content, SPAR has been sponsoring Christmas FM’s streaming service since November 1, which will continue until New Year’s Eve.
